Review of Ray (2004) by Luistxo F — 29 Jul 2010
An insightful and powerful film! Jamie Foxx is brilliant in this film, his portrayal of Ray Charles is powerful,honest and enjoyable to watch. As with a lot of famous musicians Charles hasn't had an easy life, witnessing his brothers death and then going blind, it is a sad but inspiring film.
The other actors are great especially King and Washington playing strong minded females.
The songs in the film are brilliant, I didn't realize how many I would recognize.
Overall as enjoyable and memorable as other greats such as 'Walk the line'.
