I am not sure how close it is to the original story, what cannot be denied is that Jamie Foxx was the best suited for the role of one of the greatest African-American musicians, who put a before and after in the gospel genres and soul, without omitting his difficult childhood and his battle against drug addiction.
Melomanos should not miss it.
