Review of Ravenous (1999) by T C — 17 Dec 2007
What do you get when you mix a weird Guy Pearce, a very interesting initial atmosphere, a good concept and Robert Carlyle?
Exactly!
I thought so too.
But in this case, you only get a so so movie.
The INITIAL part of the story is catchy and somewhat thrilling.
But they blow it all up even before the middle of it with a bad story development and a decrease of the initial atmosphere, that at some point turned into a drama / light story wanna be.
And that soundtrack... that soundtrack...
Let me put it this way.
A couple of Demis Roussos songs would probably do less of a damage to it.
Still, I rate it 3 stars because the concept and part of the dilemma presented are actually pertinent.
Unless you're a vegetarian.
