Flat out visually stunning. Check your lungs to make sure they're still working. While the strength of the photography is front and center there is a strong yet understated story to hang it all on.
One boy's world of Glasgow, and his escape from said, in the 70s during the garbage strike. As an side, while her next film "Morvern Callar" was not nearly as good, it's an absolute crime that Ramsay hasn't put out or even been involved in a feature film in over six years.
