Review of Rashomon (1950) by Adam K — 03 Mar 2009
A masterpiece by Kurosawa. Visually innovative, especially for its time. The storytelling manages to be a existential exploration of the concept of truth and perception while at the sametime being a realistic account of a crime.
The acting is a bit over the top, but because it is in the classical japanese style.
