Review of Rashomon (1950) by Jennifer W — 18 Mar 2009
The acting is a bit over the top, but the movie is of course extremely innovative in pushing upon the non-linear narrative structure in filmmaking. Great artistic vision. Loved the bits in which the witnesses give their testimonies in front of the unseen court.
The ending was just too melodramatic and cheesy.
