Review of Rashomon (1950) by Callum S — 23 Jan 2014
One of the most brilliant dramas I have ever seen, this is a thought provoking film where you need to have your own interpretation of it. The acting from the entir ensemble in each different scenario is wonderful, the writing is creative, honest and powerful, but sometimes quite hilarious and the cinematography is kinetic just like Akira Kurosawa's direction.
A tour de force of filmmaking, this is a masterpeice and is the only Kurosawa movie I've seen, but I wanna see more.
