Review of Raising Arizona (1987) by Jeff B — 29 Aug 2010
Terrific performances from everybody here, but let me single out Holly Hunter as Ed. I really like it when the Coens make comedies... well, actually, when they do pretty much anything. But they really excel at wacky comedies and this was another good one.
Their typical flair for finding a music that really fits a picture is seen here, too. Also, I really love all of the stuff involving Tex Cobb's character, from his introduction to the fight scene and even the way he introduces himself to Nathan Arizona.
Just an all-around great film. Loved it.
