Review of Rai (1995) by Alysia V — 01 Dec 2008
Jamie Foxx gave an excellent portrayal of Ray Charles in this movie. I kept forgetting that it wasn't actually Ray Charles playing the part. He was deserving of his award. I enjoy movies like this that give you a glimpse into people's lives that we're very familiar with.
However, I will say that it made me lose a lot of respect for Ray Charles, as a person, after seeing this movie. He actually was a pretty horrible guy, though a great musician.
