Review of Race to Nowhere (2009) by Cyneva D — 26 Aug 2013
Excellent documentary about the mind-destroying rigors of the American school system. One thing that felt frustrating to witness was the story of a particular family who had children that suffered extremely due to the pressure/stress/schedule of school life.
Instead of just pulling them out and letting the children be in an environment where they could actually learn, they just switched schools. The daughter said that at first she was all excited about the new school.
Then she realized after a couple/few weeks that it was still school. The location may have stayed the same but the damaging environment had not. During the credits, there are several great recommendations for students, parents, teacher, administrators, etc.
