Review of Race to Nowhere (2009) by Sarah D — 20 Mar 2017
Discusses the rat-race feel that starts as early as middle school for most middleclass kids in the US. Focuses on systemic problems, offers some solutions individual parents and educators can do. One of the most telling moments in the film is when a girl discusses how she had a mental breakdown from the pressure.
She described her stay in an mental institute as a 2 week deadline to learn to de-stress so she can get back out there.
