Review of Raajneeti (2010) by Jayesh V — 11 Jun 2010
I did not like the movie Raajneeti because of the following enumerated reasons:
* The script and dialogues of the movie are as lame as the starting sentence of this review! :P.
* The first hour of the movie is totally confusing. It tries to explain viewers the convoluted family hierarchy and history. Unnecessary details and characters (like Naseerundin Shah).
* Most women in the movie are very susceptible to getting pregnant.
* Katrina Kaif's character (Indu) seems to have a pretty low IQ - She can hardly understand people's motives and her love preferences are very flexible.
* The scenes which are supposed to be emotional turn out to be hilarious. For example, when Indu asks Samar for wedding, and when Ajay Devgan is told who is his birth mother.
* There is no consideration for law and order. People are killed at will by the main characters in front of several people, and they walk away freely.
* A significant part of the movie has a crowd of hundreds of people - which gets involved in any damn event in the movie. It's funny how they respond to speeches in chorus, saying "yes"/"no" together and waving their hands together. It's like watching school children saying and doing something together.
* Pretty bad acting by most of the characters.
I would recommend watching this movie with friends at home, so that you can comment on the retarded script, dialogues and direction, and have fun.
