Review of Quatermass and the Pit (1967) by Colin F — 28 Jan 2012
Brilliant Hammer Horror film with a flawless screenplay from Nigel Kneale. When dead aliens are found in the London Underground it all kicks off and leads to a gripping climax when Londoners become possessed by them and start killing each other. For something that was made so long ago it really is good stuff and probably one of Hammers best ever films.
Andrew Keir is brilliant as Quatermass and its just a shame he played the part once on film. An absolute classic.
