Review of Quarantine 2: Terminal (2011) by Liana H — 18 Jun 2012
Not bad sequel to "Quarantine", the surprisingly decent American remake of the excellent Spanish zombie film "[REC]". This time though, rather than doing a near shot-for-shot remake as they did with the first film, this fllm chose to completely ignore the "[REC]" sequel, demonic possession and all, and strike out on their own with a completely new story.
While the Spanish sequel stayed in the original quarantined building and followed a new group of people that same night, this film has an entirely new cast of characters on a flight where a new outbreak happens.
When the flight lands, they are once again quarantined and forced to survive the zombie-like outbreak completely on their own. Fast paced, gory and a reasonably smart script made this much more entertaining than I was expecting.
