Review of Quarantine 2: Terminal (2011) by Johnny T — 29 Oct 2012
The best way to describe Quarantine 2: Terminal is to take the worst elements of the neverending Resident Evil franchise, meld it to some senseless narrative vagueness about human rabies, delete all the potential suspense or dread, and then up the dopey factor. In a genre that consistently clamors for its own internal pointlessness, this is a perfect supporting argument. With the originals sitting out there like life saving beacons in a black cloud of otherwise commercialized crap, there's just no real comparison. Quarantine 2: Terminal is pretty much a by-the-book DTV sequel. It's not original in the slightest, it doesn't really connect well with the first film, and it's seasoned with the thinnest characters imaginable. But the film is scary in the right places, delivering pulse-pounding jolts and a freaky narrative.
VERDICT: "Not So Hot" - [Negative Reaction] These films are truly terrible films. They are not the worst things ever made, but they are definitely awful and should not be seen by anyone. (Films that are rated 1.5 or 2 stars).
