Look guys! Another crappy found footage movie, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! "The Pyramid" is not scary, it has irritating characters and a tomb that leads to nowhere.
Walking through the Sahara desert for 48 hours would be a lot more fun compared to watching this clunker.
As you would expect, "The Pyramid" involves a group of archaeologists uncovering mysterious secrets in a lost pyramid in Egypt.
The team led by Dr. Nora Holden (Ashley Hinshaw) and her father, Dr. Miles Holden (Denis O'Hare) use a remote-controlled robot to go inside the pyramid and find out what's in there. When they lose contact with the robot, the archaeologists go to the pyramid to find the robot but they are soon trapped inside the mysterious pyramid. Not only are they trapped, they are also being hunted by scavenger cats and a crummy CGI Egyptian monster named Anubis. You remember Anubis don't you? He's the jackal-headed God of Death. May I ask one dumb question? Why don't any of the archaeologists have a compass? If you're an explorer and looking for treasure, you got to have a compass, if you don't have one, all of your friends are going to die. Oops! Is that a Spolier! You're welcome.
This inept horror film was produced by Alexandre Aja, he was responsible for making "Mirrors", the wretched remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" and the summer-time gorefest "Piranha 3D". It's hard to know what's worse, the clunky found footage, the terrible acting or the awful dialogue. I've said enough about this movie, please avoid it.
