Review of Pusher II (2004) by Mike S — 11 May 2010
After seeing the incredible first installment of the Pusher trilogy, I was eager to jump in and watch the second installment. Though, not as good as the first one, it's still a very powerful and tough film to watch at times.
Tony, who plays in the first movie, returns as the main star in this second movie. We follow him around as he is released from prison. It's a tough journey, but a rewarding and kind of sad ending.
You feel bad for him. I know I did. The environment that he is around, family, and friends just bring him down and further down, but a son who he doesn't really want to have anything to do with, breaths new life in him, slowly, but surley.
