Review of Pusher II (2004) by Mitchell R — 30 Jun 2013
One of the best crime films ever made, period. Heartbreaking, suspenseful and and sometimes downright disturbing, Mads Mikkelsen delivers a performance that deserves to be iconic. Director Nicolas Winding Refn deserves recognition for this film alone.
Unlike his last film, "Drive", this film does not rely on scenes of outrageous violence to rivet its audience, but rather, contains an atmosphere that seems to threaten an explosion of violence that (almost) never comes.
best of the trilogy.
