Musically, this is fantastic. Acting wise it's all a bit amateurish but there are some good points. The "What's the password?" scene still cracks me up. And the version of Purple Rain in the movie (although EXACTLY the same on the album) is the greatest verion of it EVER.
Watch the film and not be moved by that and your heart is made of stone. Goosebumps, hairs on the back of your neck, everything.
