Forget what the carping critics say. I don?t believe the brains behind Pure Country even remotely set their sights on the Academy Awards. Plainly put, this was a flick made to entertain country music audiences (especially George Strait fans) across the world ? which it did, and quite outstandingly too.
All things considered, it still is a feel-good movie with a slew of dazzling tracks from one of the greatest country stars on the planet. I?d go a million miles to watch George perform, and that?s as ?Strait? as it gets!
