Review of Puppetmaster (1989) by Ken T — 16 Oct 2010

This is a classic horror film that still works today. Even if you aren't into killer puppet movies (Full Moon has made a ton of them) this is one you have to see. Good music, good puppetry and even decent acting.

While not up to your Hollywood blockbuster standards in terms of polished look and slick style, David Schmoeller manages to put forth a very entertaining film. And it's always nice to see William Hickey in a movie even if for a short time :).

I've always enjoyed the Puppet Master series (even the bad ones) and most of them aren't really something you recommend to most people but this first film of the series is not only a good Puppet Master film, it's also a decent film in general (especially compared to other Full Moon releases).
