Review of Puncture (2011) by Cheyne L — 25 Apr 2012
It's the heart at the center of the film that makes it great .. although this is nothing new, the overcoming of adversity feels real, the smart dialogue feels real, although there is no doubt that this film was made to cause an awareness of the 'safety point' product .
. just because courtroom dramas are all pretty similar doesn't mean this film is completely derivative and unoriginal .. the acting is what makes the difference here, with Chris Evans giving his best performance to date .
. finally, stretching his dramatic legs and showing us what he's got .. Evans comes from humble beginnings in his acting career, and after seeing him shine within a few lames, well, to see him in this kind of role and just nail it is awesome .
. this is a serious contender for top ten best courtroom dramas ever ..
