Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Brian C — 02 Feb 2011
Adam Sandler subdues his comedic personality for this funny, off-the-wall, enigmatic, chilling, and often downright awkward romantic character study. The film is a goldmine of wonderful quirks and small pleasures, gorgeous cinematography and music.
Paul Thomas Anderson scores again with this strangely addictive, compulsively watchable little masterpiece. Sandler's best performance and film.
