Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Dane B — 04 Jun 2014
One of the most uncomfortable movies I've ever sat through and one of Sandlers most interesting role. Its obvious from the beginning there is something off with the character and through the situations and anxious score you feel that your apart of all the commotion with him. Its not until Emily Watson takes interest in him giving him a purpose and freedom when he's able to find confidence in himself and peace through his counter part.
The build of the film is what makes it what it is and Phillip Hoffman's scene is just awesome. Definitely a movie of its own breed. Will be appreciated by any PT Anderson fans.
