Review of Pump Up the Volume (2001) by Tim M — 03 Apr 2008
While the early 90s fashion hasn't aged well (gotta love that cameo by Seth Green sporting a mullet), the message of this early Gen X classic still holds up quite well. Christian Slater (an awesome actor who doesn't get nearly enough work these days) stars as a mild-mannered geek by day, and secret shock-jock superstar by night.
Samantha Mathis (another underused class act) made her debut in this one as the rebel chick relentlessly pursuing Slater.
