Review of Psycho III (1986) by Craig C — 08 Feb 2014
While infusing some much-needed black humor into this the third go-round in the Psycho series, star Perkins' first turn behind the camera is a near-disaster. Psycho III is rife with ridiculousness, including a sheriff so inept, he fails to notice blood-soaked ice (even as he's eating it).
Completely runs off the rails in the third act, when plot points are sewn up in a few short, sloppy scenes. If only Perkins cared as much for this story as his character did his dear Mother. Disappointing.
