Review of Psycho (1998) by Jay S — 29 Oct 2018
I feel bad for those who tried to imitate this movie (besides Halloween) because I just don't think it's possible to have a simple plot about a psycho be so effective with its amazingly eerie set design and cinematography but also with its character depth for Norman Bates as well as Marion who are played incredibly by Perkins and Leigh.
The only fault this movie has is a very slightly less intriguing second half compared to the first half and an exposition scene at the end that goes on way too long. Other than that, this is one of the best horror films ever made.
