Paved the way for much Horror iconography and ideology but regardless of that fact, Psycho is, on its own merits, shocking, Thrilling and uncomfortably luring. A landmark work, not appreciated on release but generation after generation are rightfully making up for it now.
Bates remains one of cinemas most infamous psychopaths.
