Review of Promised Land (2012) by Theo W — 25 Feb 2013
Promised Land is a nice looking movie and the actors do a fine job. Never delving too deep into either side of the fracking issue or any of the characters, everything feels shallow and one note. Mostly this feels like a film going through the motions similar to the Frances McDormand character who just wants to get the job done and go home to her kids.
