Review of Prom Night in Mississippi (2009) by Peter P — 22 May 2010
Good and interesting doc. that looks a small town racism in the USA in the modern day life. It is sad how many people of both colors seem to be stuck in the past and how little they are willing to change.
I thought the use of hand held cameras that the kids took home was a good idea, but didn't always get great results, and I didn't really like it when they used drawn story boards to show things that happened which they didn't get on film.
Other then that, it was a good doc, and I give some credit to Morgan Freeman for trying to open up the lines of communication between the future leaders of that small town community.
