Don't let its 2 and a half hour running time fool you. "Prisoners" unfolds at a breakneck pace, packing on twist after twist and layers and layers of incredible suspense and tension. Director Denis Villeneuve and writer Aaron Guzikowski craft a nail-biting thriller that brings to mind the classic revenge thrillers of the 70's and delivers everything it promises.
And the movie works even more with a great ensemble, especially Hugh Jackman in what is one of his best performances.
