Review of Prince of Darkness (1987) by Jimi F — 06 Sep 2008
When I read that John Carpenter thought of this film as part two in his "Apocalypse Trilogy", preceded by "The Thing" and followed by "In the Mouth of Madness", I wondered why I hadn't seen it.
It's a little slow-paced and the plot isn't 100% coherent, but it has the pleasant feel of the type of old-school horror movies that don't get made anymore. Unfortunately my favorite aspect of the mysterious plot, the dream-transmissions of future events, is never expounded upon in any satisfying way.
