Review of Prince of Darkness (1987) by Spyros T — 03 Sep 2011
I wonder if the critics who slammed this film back in 1987, still stick in their opinions after seeing the horror films of the last decade. I loved the music, excellent score that does not stop at almost any time in the film written by Carpenter himself! Brilliant work.
My only objection is that l would like the film to explore a little more the battle between science and the supernatural, between the certainty of the visible world and the chaos of the subatomic world, instead of veering into slasher territory.
Still, Alice Cooper stabs a man with a bicycle. That alone makes it worthwhile.
