Review of Pride and Glory (2008) by Craig R — 12 Jul 2009
For us females this movie ticks all the right boxes. You've got your 'intelligent sexy' in Edward Norton, and 'bad-boy sexy' with Colin Farrell, plus they are both wearing police uniforms! So on paper it should be a pretty good watch.
Unfortunately the lack of flow in the storyline isn't enough to hold my attention. It feels like it starts in the middle of a story you should already know the beginning of but don't. The lack of character definition leaves me wondering why I should care about any of these people and the overly dark production is just distracting rather than mood creating.
Very weird to see "Elizabeth Bennett" in such a film too, not sure what the point of her character was - go back to Mr Darcy I say.
