Review of Predestination (2013) by Joe G — 06 Jul 2015
I remained in a WTF loop for one hour after the end of the movie. I talked about the movie with my housemate for nearly all the time, and I've noticed that a lot of other people were outside of the cinema doing the same and I can't remember the last time I saw this happen.
It's not an easy movie if you are not very aware of time travels or if you skip just a step, but the story in itself, at the end, is not that complicated. But the directors are great in making it very complex going back and forward in the timeline.
Thanks to an intelligent mix of time travels and use of the cameras, the Spierig twins manage to keep you at the obscure of the identity of the "Fizzle" Bomber until the very end, creating the most intereting sci-fi (and in my opinion not only) movie of the year by far.
