Review of Predator 2 (1990) by Eric C — 02 Dec 2009
In the last film I mentioned how as a child it didn't appeal to me, because of the "Jungle" setting, this film was quite a different experience. Predator 2 was immediately a favorite of mine, the setting of a shit whole future LA with Danny Glover as a cop was a great setting.
Danny Glover plays a great role in replacing Schwarzenegger, who by this time wanted different things.
Gary Busey also plays in the film as an arrogant man, who knows what is going on, but refuses to back off.
This film is great, it needs to be noticed more.
4 out of 5 stars.
TRIVIA:
Danny Glover & Gary Busey had also played in Lethal Weapon directed by Richard Donner as enemies.
Schwarzenegger was originally asked to replace his role, but he demanded more money that the studio weren't willing to shell out, so his character was said to be too scared to face the creature again.
Many remember director Stephen Hopkins for bringing some of the darkness back into Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child.
