Review of Power Rangers (2017) by Ahadghani — 26 Mar 2017
If I had one word to describe this movie, 'mediocre, is what I would go with. It wasn't bad but it wasn't very good either. Kinda felt dated, if i'm being honest. The pacing was off and it didn't really make sense most of the time.
The save-the-world stuff was quite predictable too. The cast was solid but the characters felt cliched. The Rangers only got to morph in the final half-hour of the movie and that, too, was mostly spent in the Dinozords.
Despite being a fan of Elizabeth Banks, her character, Rita Repulsa, didn't prove a worthy villain. Also, I found the robot, Alpha 5, very annoying and it would've been better to have completely left him out of the movie.
All in all, for some reason, I expected more from this movie.
