Unoriginal and boring. The plot was a very old one - parallel, dispairing lives meet and everything changes. This doesn't mean the movie has to be boring, as the characters and sub-plots can be changed. Here, however, the characters are uninteresting and the sub-plots contrived and lame.
All-star cast - Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta, Jessica Biel, Lisa Kudrow, Patrick Swayze (sadly, in his last movie role before his death), Kris Kristofferson - does its best with the material it is given, but is hamstrung by the lameness of the script.
