Review of Portrait of Jennie (1948) by Colm M — 19 Oct 2010
A real spooky, otherworldly little movie complimented by the old fashioned/ham acting. About an artist who falls in love with a ghost and paints her picture. He also does a painting of Michael Collins for Darby O'gill who has a habit of shouting 'up the rebels' and owns an Irish pub in Newyork.
Worth it for that scene alone. It also goes from black and white into colour at the end. A rare little gem.
