Review of Pontypool (2009) by Charlie D — 31 Jan 2013
This is a very, very interesting movie. It's a bottle horror flick based around sound more so than it's based around images, which is new to me. This is the kind of movie that may leave you scratching your head, but that seems to be exactly what it wants to leave you with; an intense feeling of confusion and disorientation.
It makes a lot more (or even less) sense going back and watching it the second time, especially if you've had those moments where the english language just plain stops making sense for a few seconds.
It's difficult to explain but I promise you this is a a film worth seeing. Along with an entertaining gimmick, it's well acted and creatively written. More people need to watch Pontypool.
