Review of Pontypool (2009) by Ross M — 07 Feb 2016
Kill is kiss.
I finally watched Pontypool and I loved it! I don't know why its taking me so long to watch it. Once again, a film like this is rare and just goes to show less is more and you don't need a high budget to make an effective horror film. Creative, brilliant and intense. Pontypool builds a ridiculous amount of dread and is psychologically terrifying, it creeped me the fuck out, but also fun at times with its comedic moments. 95% of the film takes place in a radio station and has very light to no gore and violence and its one of the best films Ive seen in a while because of how refreshingly original it is and how undeniably scary it was in a mind fucking way. Highly recommended, its available and streaming on Netflix now.
