Review of Pompeii (2014) by Roxanne R — 25 May 2014
The visual effects were stunning and mesmerizing in Blu-ray, worth the rental price alone! I don't care what the critics say or believe, this film was great. Entertaining, fast-paced, with plenty of action, drama and major natural disasters that inevitably will terminate all the characters.
Yes that was the only negative. I don't recall watching any other film where the entire cast is annihilated. Despite that, I give Pompeii four stars and I highly recommend this alluring film in Blu-ray, where you will spend the nearly next two hours reliving life in Pompeii.
Sadly the city was destroyed and buried under 13 to 20 feet of ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD as you will see in this motion picture.
