Review of Pompeii (2014) by Aaron D — 31 May 2014
Pompeii is one part gladiator wannabee and one part disaster movie. Neither of which it gets quite right. It's not a horrible movie but it is below average. The story is boring, the acting pretty dull, and it is a shame because the cast is pretty decent.
Specifically Kit Harington from Game of Thrones and Emily Browning from Sucker Punch. Both of these actors feel like they could be breakout stars ... hopefully they will get some better material soon.
This is a skip unless you are really bored and have very low standards.
