Review of Poltergeist (2015) by Dharma — 02 Aug 2015

The original is one of my favorite film of all time, and I was looking forward to this reboot for quite a while...can they bring something new to the table? The answer is no. It's a remake that makes Poltergeist a pedestrian film.

Every changes that they made were for the worst, and sure there were jump scares, but there aren't any in the scale of the original. It's hard to eclipse film makers at the height of their powers, namely Spielberg and Hooper, even more than 3 decades ago.

..a pointless remake in the end.
