Review of Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019) by Sepps — 14 May 2019

Visually great, though somewhat lacking in the plot department. This is a film in which a "twist" is pretty much just anything that hasn't been said out loud yet, even if the audience figured it out a little over an hour ago.

That being said, it's still beautiful, creative in terms of its world design and surprisingly really, really funny. Nitpickers will have no shortage of threads to pull on, but if you just want to enjoy a good comedy with some really gorgeous animation this is a solid pick.
