First things first where's Madeline Stowe these days?I really loved her work in the 90's, anyway back to 'Playing by Heart'. Hit or Miss ensemble piece featuring a pretty harcore cast, including a young Angelina Jolie, Ellen Burstyn, Gena Rowlands, Sean Connery, Gillian Anderson,Ryan Phillipe and the aforementioned Madeline Stowe.

Eleven connected people searching for love in LA, high points include Burstyn's charactert coping with the inevitabele death of her homosexual son, a very charming Jon Stewart wooing Anderson, and a young Jolie. Sappy points are a many but the good definitely outweigh the bad.
