Review of Play Misty for Me (1971) by Weedwacker — 16 Jun 2008

The original psycho-stalker movie in which a woman was the kook. Eastwood in his directorial debut fucking rocks it and Jessica Walter delivers a performance that will make your skin crawl. Keep in mind that this was made in 1971--considering that nearly four decades have passed since its release and scores of movies have been fashioned directly from this one Misty has held up very well.

Anyone who gives it a poor rating because of its age is a short-sighted idiot and probably someone who doesn't realize that this little flick paved the way for just about every modern movie of its kind.
