Review of Planet Terror (2007) by Robert G — 17 May 2015
This is a really hard movie to review. The whole idea of the Grindhouse movies was to replicate some of the old goofy horror movies in the 70s. They accomplish that, but as far as from what I would call a traditional "good" movie, this is not.
But all the same I really enjoyed it. The dialogue is a bit cheesy and the movie story itself is kinda stupid. To me anyway, but that is why I have difficulty here, I am not a fan of excessive gore ore horror.
That is why this is a hard movie to review, it is supposed to be that way. Both of these movies are the brain child of best friends Tarantino and Rodriguez. They are very unique and in my book must see movies.
Personally I like the other Grindhouse movie better, Tarantino's Death Proof probably mainly because there is less gore. Plenty of gore still and I feel it has better character development.
