Completely over the top. Ludicrous. Not to be taken too seriously. And my God did I have fun watching it. It IS ultraviolent, and certainly Rose McGowan having a gun for a leg is amazing/weird, but somehow I can accept every little bit of it along the way.
A great zombie flick. Though I still want to string up whoever split up the "Grindhouse" movies on DVD.
