Review of Planet of the Vampires (1965) by Wray B — 27 Jun 2008
The Citizen Kane of Italian sci-fi cinema, Mario Bava's Terrore nello spazio is a midnight movie classic that the writers of Alien clearly sat through several times. From the kinky leather outfits to Bava's "unique" special effects, Vampires initially screams camp YET get past this and there are some (albeit dated) chills to be had.
You'll either love it or hate it, but that's how Bava devides his audiences.
